Principal's Message

I am delighted to welcome you to Laureate Academy. Our ethos as an Academy is clear and we are unwavering in our dedication to it. We believe that every student should have access to an education comprised of ‘the best that has been thought and said’. A knowledge-rich and stimulating education combined with enriching extra-curricular experiences and a strong pastoral support team will enable us to ensure all students can live a life of choice and opportunity. We are creating an Academy with the highest standards of teaching and behaviour to ensure no child is left behind. 

Everything we do at Laureate is framed around our three values: Knowledge, Aspiration and Respect. We want our students to ‘Work Hard, Aim High and Be Kind’ and we aim to help them on this path through the three C’s, Curriculum, Co-curriculum and Conduct. We have an unrelenting focus on hard work to ensure students leave us with great exam results. However, we also are determined to deliver a wide range of opportunities through our co-curriculum for every student to flourish outside of the classroom. From sports, to performing arts, music, trips and speakers - we have something for everyone. We also endeavour to develop our student conduct, how they interact with peers and adults, Laureate is a community where everyone should feel valued and welcomed, happy and safe.

All students are welcome with us, regardless of academic attainment, need or background. We hold dear the value of inclusion and believe that our role as educators is to ensure that every student that joins our community can succeed. We aim to create a culture of respect and kindness with every student feeling that they belong to the Laureate community. Everything we do is guided by integrity, working in the best interests of the young people in our care. We think through every decision carefully and follow established best practice, research and evidence in all fields to ensure that we are providing the best opportunities for our students. 

Our academy strives to deliver an outstanding school experience for every child and to have the highest expectations of all of our students. We want to ensure success for every student at Laureate Academy and hope you will join us on our journey.
